Our Project

Living Soils Ndaragwa.

A regenerative agriculture project in Ndaragwa, Nyandarua County — restoring soil, training women and youth, and building a model other communities can replicate.

Project Activities

Five components.
One regenerative system.

Each part of Living Soils Ndaragwa is designed to feed the next — restoring soil, generating income, and growing local expertise.

  1. 01

    Regenerative Demonstration Farm

A 5-acre working farm that shows regenerative practices in action — composting, cover cropping, intercropping, minimal tillage and biological soil amendments. Open to farmer visits, training days and ongoing soil-health monitoring.

  2. 02

    Training for Women & Youth

Hands-on training in soil biology, composting, natural pest management and seed saving — delivered in local languages and scheduled around real lives. A two-way exchange that documents traditional knowledge held by women farmers.

  3. 03

    Vermicomposting Unit

Earthworms turning organic waste into vermicompost and vermiwash — a rich soil amendment and a natural foliar feed. Four bins are already in operation, with plans to scale and sell packaged vermiwash as an income stream.

  4. 04

    Seedling Nursery

Producing indigenous trees, fruit trees, medicinal and culinary herbs, and African leafy vegetables. A revenue stream for the farm and a low-capital enterprise model that youth can replicate in their own communities.

  5. 05

    Beekeeping Unit

An apiary integrated into the demonstration farm, producing honey, beeswax and other bee products. Bees boost yields on insect-pollinated crops, signal a healthy chemical-free landscape, and offer women and youth a viable livelihood on minimal land.
